FAULT, BOOKSHELF OR DOMINO MODEL FOR
This type of slip is sometimes described as bookshelf sliding or the
domino effect. Extension makes the blocks rotate. The acute angle between
the compression direction and the slip planes is reduced by their rotation
in the direction of shear. Most of the antithetic faults are parallel and
arranged as if books in a shelf and hence the term bookshelf model.
