ASYMMETRIC PULL-APARTS, HANMER

Bottom left is type 1 asymmetrical pull apart of Hanmer from Untala granite cover in Rajasthan. The boudinage appears to be along a complementary shear fracture and ductile shear is foliation parallel. Top left shows type 2A pull aparts, top right is type 1 and bottom right is also type 1. Dextral rotation of shear fracture boudins can be seen. All examples are from the cover rocks of Archaean age of Untala granite east of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. The pull-apart structures afford evidence to the effect that foliation parallel shear operated during the pluton emplacement and the pre-Aravalli orogenic movement. This also shaped the pluton tips, changed it orientation orientation and the finite strain patterns. The trems used are after S Hanmer.
