ASYMMETRICAL REPETITION IN STRIKE FAULTS

Asymmetrical repetition of strata such as abc, abcd, bcde etc is typically observed in case of faults whose trend is nearly identical with the strike lines of the disrupted strata. Some of the younger beds may be "omitted" on the downthrown side by denudation. The handdrawn figure using a paint program is highly simplified.
