A semiquantitative attempt to deduce the movement sense and magnitude in deformed rocks, particularly sheared and overthrusted ones. Normally sense is known from structures such as stretching lineations or extension fissure, the magnitude can be fairly well estimated from either the analysis of minor structures, and other geological evidence.
