BUNDELKHAND GRANITIC COMPLEX

A massif of diapirs or plutons in central India that has risen under transcurrent environment. The massif appears to have a singularly uniform tectonic fabric which has unfortunately been underestimated as far as the history of emplacement goes. The tectonic framework is more complex and has evolved through a complex history. The schematic diagram shows that the massif has suffered EW sinistral shear throughout its complex history of emplacement.
