COMPUTER SIMULATION OF DIAPIRISM

Granite bodies rise above due to their buoyancy or lower density relative to that of the rocks. This is called diapirism and Guglielmo at A & M Centre Texas is credited with the computer simulation of this process uner different conditions or variables. Above are the results of some of the simulations.
