INCREMENTAL STRAINS, COMPUTED FROM VEIN FIBRES

A complete chord is divided from the vein bounday to the vein centre and incremental strains for any constant chord orientation are computed and the two are plotted against eacother. The graph is linear whose tip gives the maximum departure in orientation from the original and the strain at each stage. The best way is to compute for the fibre from wall to wall and compute the area below the closed curve obtained to estimate the value of mean strain.
